Presidential Inaugural Conferences Offer Students Exclusive Opportunity to Experience the 2013 Presidential Inauguration

Washington DC-based Conferences Feature Exciting Keynote Speakers, Events and
Interactive Activities

Vienna, VA – February 27, 2012 — Envision EMI, a leading provider of educational, leadership and career-focused programs, announced today that it will be hosting Presidential Inaugural Conferences for middle school, high school and college students in Washington D.C. in conjunction with the January 2013 Presidential Inauguration.

The five-day conferences will feature keynote addresses from political luminaries who will provide engaging, inside views of the Presidency and the U.S. political system, interactive activities with political experts, historians and analysts from both sides of the aisle, and private gala celebratory events. Inauguration Day, when the President and Vice President each take their oath of office and the President gives his inaugural address, will include special activities, learning events and celebrations.

“We are pleased to offer students this once-in-a-lifetime experience to participate in an important moment in our nation’s history,” said Will Lynn, President of Envision EMI. “All of our Presidential Inaugural Conferences focus on delivering real-life learning experiences to enrich and inspire students. At the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Conferences, students will partake in a broad array of exciting, educational events, gaining a deeper understanding of how the U.S. political system works.”

Each of the three, invitation-only, Presidential Inaugural Conferences is tailored to a specific age group – college, high school and middle school.

“While students may learn about the presidential political process in school, being in the heart of our nation’s capital during the official inauguration festivities and having leading politicians and political experts personally share their perspectives and engage with students in conversation allows for unparalleled learning and depth of experience,” said Marguerite C. Regan, Ph.D. Dean of Academic Affairs, Presidential Inaugural Conference. “Envision EMI is proud to offer these high-caliber, experiential learning opportunities to a select group of highly motivated students, fostering their understanding of what makes our nation’s political system special.”

This will be the eighth Presidential Inaugural Conference hosted in Washington, DC , with events and curricula designed by the same group of educators who develop Envision EMI’s other highly-acclaimed programs, conferences and forums such as the National Young Scholars Program (NYSP), Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC), National Young Leaders Conference (NYLC), Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC), National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine (NYLF/MED), National Youth Leadership Forum on Law (NYLF/LAW) and the International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP).

“Few events evoke the sense of excitement and anticipation as the Inauguration of the President of the United States, making this a very special program,” said Amanda Freitag, Director, High School Presidential Inaugural Conference.

“Students attending the Presidential Inaugural Conference will also enjoy and benefit from experiencing the events with their peers, making the program even more memorable,” said Matt Castrina, Director, Collegiate Presidential Inaugural Conference.

A preliminary schedule of events and updated speaker information for the Presidential Inauguration Conferences can be found at www.presidentialinauguralconference.com.

I am very excited to attend. My only concern is the “gala”. What is that comprised of and are we supppose to be wearing “black tie” outfits which includes long dresses and suits. Also, there is no dress code that is on the website. Berfore I attend and sign up, I would like to know what I am expected to wear.
    Thank you,
    Alexandria Watts

Hello Virginia: Absolutely, many of our students fundraise in order to earn most or all of the tuition they need to attend. We provide an online fundraising guide here on our website at www.inauguralscholar.com/fundraising. You will find fundraising ideas, tips and success stories from students who have previously attended. Hope this helps and Good Luck Fundraising!

  8. Are parents allowed to come with their kids and stay in the hotel with their kids?

I was looking forward to this, but I just received an invitation to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Law and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) and wish to attend that instead. Is there anyway to receive some of my money back? I have already paid in full for the presidential inauguration.

I am attending the Presidential Inaugural Conference and I would like to know where we are staying? They said we would receive an email regarding the accomodations. But, I still have not received that email.
