When is Inauguration Day 2013?
When is Inauguration Day?
The official Inauguration Day is January 20th. However, as that date falls on a Sunday in 2013, the public swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013.
About the Inauguration Ceremony
The U.S. Presidential Inauguration swearing-in ceremony has evolved over the years, and different presidents have added their own personal touches to the event. Many of these have become precedents that we still observe today. For example, kissing the Bible, closing with the words, “so help me God,” the inaugural ball and the inaugural parade have all become traditions that new presidents continue to follow. Learn more about some of the highlights of inaugural history below. When you attend the Presidential Inauguration in 2013, you’ll know where many of these traditions came from!

God bless you & your family in this second term. My family & I are praying for you continue to do what The Lord is leading you to do & not what man thinks you should do to satisfy them & their peers. God bless you & America!!!
I believe it is being held on January 21, 2013 to celebrate 150 years since the Emancipation and Proclamations of Abe Lincoln and the to commemorate the 100 years later that it took for Martin Luther King to march on Washington to fight for Civil Rights for all and the fact that 50 years after that march we are swearing in for a term the 1st African American President…which is a positive sign that America is headed in the right direction…and that all Americans are “Free at Last”…
To our President and his beautiful family, congratulations to another four years and wishing you much success for the years to come…excited to see what the next four years bring, do a great job like we know you will…
Alesia Adams and Family
I attended the last Inauguration of the 20th century in 1997 when President Clinton was sworn in for the second time. I will also be attending this year. I did not vote for Mr. Obama but I enjoy the historic atmosphere of this event. I look forward to attending, no matter how cold the day will be.
Mr. President and family,
I am very honored and proud that we the American People have been blessed to have you as our “First Family” for a second term. I look forward to social change that will benefit us all. Please know that my children and I will stand with those who share our respect for the office you hold and will look upon this upcoming inauguration day with pride. Peace Forever Be Unto You and to the United States of America.
I would like to congratulate our President and his family on such a fine campaign. I just wish that our forefathers were here to witness this great event. Not only did we have a black President in 2009 but to serve a second term has really made history stand up and take a bow. As a man, I do believe that he will lead this country to bigger and better things. Failure is not in our vocabulary so he will accomplish everything that he sets out to do. And in order to make things happen we put God first. I wish that I could attend the Inaugration but my legs just won’t let me walk and stand that long. But I will be watching you all. We got your back!!! Love you Michelle and the girls.

Leaving Louisiana on 1-18-13. Can’t wait to experience this historic event. Congratulations Mr. President.
Your policies of the last four years have made a huge difference in my life, and help me keep my home during this horrible recession. As the crisis subsides, I look forward to the next four years of you stabilizing and opening doors for the regular folks like me.
Thank you Mr. President.
You betcha America we have made the right choice keeping our beloved Mr. Obama in the white house. I’m a believer . Ron
No blessings here except prayers for the salvation of my country which is in a destruct mode brought upon us in the past four years and lack of good leadership. I pray we survive four more years of this out of control economics, out of work citizens, support of illegals when our own people are going hungry and losing their homes. I believe this inauguration is being held on Monday solely because of the significance of the Martin Luther King holiday observance and certainly not because it’s Sunday. Dr. King was a brilliant and respected black man. President Obama is not a black man therefore not the first black president. He is, in fact, half white.
First,… I must congratulate our President and Family for there second term as PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES of OUR AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!
Thus far, you have set such high standard and goals in everyone around the world. With all the pressure, which have you turning gray rapidly.
Thinking years prior to 2008 every child around the world wanted to be like Mike. Presently, we have more Barrack’s.
Thank you, Mr President for your continued Job well done.
Mr (POTUS) & Mrs (FLOTUS) &Obama family, from our family to yours, we thank you & ask God to continue to bless you. Your mortgage policy helped save our home from going into forclosure due to my husbands illness. OBAMACARE will protect us in the future. We are so greatful for the man you are & the principles you stand for. Our 15year old & 7 year old wiprinciplesll be watching you on t.v. again accept a 2nd term. God bless you & keep you!!
The Wilson’s Indianapolis, IN
Congratulations, President Obama and family for a job well done!!! I look forward to this second term. I was proud and honored to attend your first inauguration in 2009. Yes, it was a very, very cold day but it was a historic event that I could not miss. Thanks for all you do. May God Bless You!!!!
Congratulations Mr. President!! I first heard you speak during the 2004 National Democratic Convention…It was at this time that I knew of your greatness! I feel truly blessed that I was able to live during this time of greatness. I know that you are being led by God and I pray that you will continue to lead us to better days and a better America during you final term.
God Bless you and your Family.
Alright already. Swear the guy in and let’s get the next four years over with.
Leadership is measured in action, not carefully crafted words masterfully written by a team of Pulitzer writers and whistfully read off of a teleprompter with a silver tongue.
The enamorized state of the electorate is baffling as it flaps against the cold hard facts of the state of this nation and the woefully misguided path down which it has been dragged.
This event is shaping up to be a grand monument to violently unchecked self appreciation and congratulations for someone who has accomplished little to nothing except to add to the mess that a real leader will one day be forced to step in the mud and clean up.
The only reason the Presidential Inauguration is being publicly held on Monday, January 21, 2013 is because January 20th is on a Sunday. This is not the first time this has happened and has nothing to do with Martin Luther King Jr Day. Let’s keep things in perspective and try not to make more out of something than it really is. It is a day to swear in our Nation’s President which happens to fall on a National Holiday..
Congratulations, President Obama and first family. First, I must say to God be the glory for the things he hath done, continue the wonderful job you are doing, even though you are being challenged every day. God is watching you and he gave you tenacity to remain strong throughout all the criticisms. God bless you dear wife and your beautiful daughters and also Bo. See you in heaven. God bless.
Good luck Mr. President. We have so many problems, education, healthcare (still), infrastructure, to name just the obvious ones. Our time frame to solve these problems is limited, please choose your priorities well.
God Bless you and your Family., and God Bless the USA. I’m so very glad that you WON, and I will continue to pray for a successful 2nd term.
Isn’t it odd to have the inauguration on a federal holiday? Some sort of provision should be made so that it doesn’t fall on MLK Jr. Day.
American presidential elections:
Millions of dollars spent on a “2year” campaign;
Millions on debates;
Millions on election; and
Millions on inauguration.
Just swearing in is sufficient the 2nd time.
This president spent $20 million of our hard-earned money for his vacation. So much for being a “people’s president.”
Thank you Mr. President for the last 4 years and God bless you and your family over the next 4 years as you bring our great country out of this recession. Congratulations President Obama!!!
Congratualtions on another 4 years! May God bless you and your family and these BEAUTIFUL United States we live in!
The government that governs least, governs best. I am so sorry that the education of this country was left to government entities. This unfortunate act, has allowed the citizens of this country to be indoctrinated with a belief that the government should do something for them. The only road to freedom is Independence, NOT Dependence! Taking the fruit of one man’s labor and giving it to another who does not labor is slavery! How is taxing the rich any different? We are on the road to serfdom compliments of President Obama and his like minded followers! The government does NOT create jobs! Our founding fathers are crying from their graves. The U.S. Constitution is unique because it limits the power of the goverment. Please Americans educate yourselves and not from the main stream media.
God help us.
Mr. President: My hope and prayer for renewed strength and courage and God’s blessing of wisdom and discernment as you prepare to enter your second term as our country’s leader. My prayer for peace, security and blessing for your family. Thank you for all you have done for our country and all its inhabitants. God Bless You!
while i don’t agree with you on all the issues, i do identify with your sense of ethics, fairness and equality. eventhough the new fiscal cliff deal is not good for people like myself, i strongly feel that it is best for the country and for the millions of people who need much needed aide to finally have a normal life economically, fiancially, emotionally, etc.. unfortunately, i was not able to get tickets for this historical event, so i will just have to watch it like i did last time (on my couch in my pj’s). good luck and i will continue to agree with the policies that i feel are good for our country and disagree with those that are not…signed, middleeastern princess
GOD have mercy on this country
Rob,
Apparently you have living on another planet for the past 4 years. Hopefully the next 4 years you will be in tuned with what’s happening on this planet, better yet in America.
“Make it do what it do,” President Barack Obama!
Mazel Tov Mr.President. May you and your beautiful family be blessed over these next four years and always. You have given me hope and filled me with pride over the past four years, and I know you will do your very best to lead our nation toward a future made brighter, more secure and equitable for all our citizens. Thank you for all your hard work. You have a beautiful soul and are guided by the light.
I am looking forward to watching your wonderful daughters grow over the next four years also. Love the ladies in your family! Blessings and Health to our First Family and to our beloved United States of America. Sincerely, Linda Gruenberg
I agree with Mr Patteson…..let’s get this gentleman sworn in already…….and continue all the good works started in his last administration
I look forward to attending the 2013 Inauguration for President Barack Obama. Congratulations Mr. President!! I admire you and know that you are doing a fantastic job as our leader. You are a great role model for all people. We love you President Obama, Michelle Obama, Sasha, Malia!
Congratulations Mr. President. Once again I look forward to the swearing in ceremony in 2013! There were lots of happy tears during the last one and I’m sure this one will be no different. You have represented this country and its people well under immense pressure and we are proud of you and the first lady. God has lifted you up and held you in a place of great responsibility. Please remember that as it cannot be easy despite the many advantages that come with this position. May you, your family and our country be intensely and immensely blessed this term and many years to come.
Congratulations Mr. President! Best wishes for a stellar second term.
Mr. President, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha: I can’t be there in person, but I’m taking the day off to watch the President’s inauguration on TV. So I’ll be with you all in spirit, watching the smartest, most level-headed, classiest, and most compassionate President of my lifetime take the oath for his second term. Although health issues prevented me from doing anything but sending money in 2012, I was “boots on the ground” in 2008. I am SO PROUD of you and your beautiful family. And now, forward!
I am pleased to say that my oldest son, along with other school mates will have the honor & the privilege of attending such an important & historical event.I know this will be a wonderful experience for them.May God continue to bless you & your family Mr.President.May God continue to give you the wisdom & the strength that you need in order to lead this country.
Mr. President, First Lady,
Congratulations on being re-elected and running a great campaign. Sir we want to thank you for the lessons in grace, humility and patience that you portrayed during the past four years. We know that God has a plan and a purpose for you lives and it is being manifested despite your critics. It is an honor and pleasure to have a president and family who knows God, Just remember that no one can separate you from the love of God. After your re-election I went to work singing God has spoken. You are blessed.
I’m surprised by some of these bitter comments. I didn’t vote for Bush but I watched his inaugurations with patriotic pride as this is Democracy. Didn’t your mothers teach you any manners? As in “if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all”? I believe Barack Obama will be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had. I’m proud to have sent him money when I could, to have stood up for him and voted for him. He is a good man and there’s only one race, the human race.
Congratulations Mr. President! Four more years with you representing is worth being proud of. There’s a group of students all over US that are planning this trip for your Inaugural ceremony, please save some seats for them and make them enjoy and feel proud of what they are doing. It’ll be an honor for my daughter and all of them to say they were at the swearing ceremony of the President of the United States of America 2013 Mr. Obama.
I prayed to God every day during the campaign season for Him to choose the best man to be President of the United States. I have to believe He chose Obama. God does not make mistakes, so now I have to honor His decision and continue to pray for our beloved America. God bless you, President Obama, and your family. I wish you the best.
Congratulations Mr President and I say this proudly not only because you are a black man ,but because you stood up for what the majority of this country believes in and did not back down from your platform. I like many braved the cold and rain for your first inauguration and will proudly be in the midst again for this one. To anyone who missed the first it was an event unparalleled by any the sea of people of ALL races, color, creed, and gender in unity as one, Americans. Keep the faith and may God Bless You ,Your Family and MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA
I will be taking that day off to see my favorite President once again stand before the citizens of our country to take the oath of doing what he does best — look out for the less fortunate and bring people together.
You will go down as being one of America’s best President’s ever! You showed up right on time to save our country from a financial melt-down. God Bless you Mr. President, First Lady, and family!
Congrats Mr. President, cheers to another four years. Please don’t forget your promises.
We are proud to say we did not elect Obama as our president. We will, however, continue to pay the price for the astonishing choice half of this country has made. What were you thinking? Our military is being slashed which will cause tens of thousands of soldiers to join the unemployed surviving on Obama hand-outs, the contract jobs that support the military are being slashed which is causing tens of thousands of civilians to join the unemployed. It just gets worse from there. We had a chance to revive and thrive on the coming inauguration day but, instead, we will look back on this day and know it for the pivotal event it will be in our self-destruction. The government cannot give anything to anyone that it does not first take from someone else (whether in taxes or astronomical debt).
Congratulations to the President of the United States and the first family! I love you President Obama and I love First Lady, Michelle. You are doing a WONDERFUL job and I wish I could be there in-person. However, I will be glued to my 55 inch HD TV and feel like I am there with you, except I will be warm (smile). If I had one wish in this world, it would be to meet you and your family, you are truly amazing. It’s too bad our country is not used to having intelligence, compassion, hope and love for all people in the White House so they don’t recognize a great President when they see one. <3
Mr. President, Mrs. Obama, and the Misses Obama;
I know the Office must be hard on your family at times – I wish it were otherwise. You have all conducted yourselves with grace and equanimity, and you make us proud. I’m joyful that you were all re-elected, as we needed you four years ago, and the need is still great. Thank you for your service, Obama Family, and I wish you every blessing.
President Obama, congratulations on a job well done in the beginning. I already know that this term is going to be as awesome as the first. Keep doing what you do. Since God is for you, no one can be against you. God bless you and your family forever. I love you all very much. You are a great team.
I pray that Obama has the sense, constitution and resolve it will take to lead this country back to the principals it was founded on. Only prayer, constitution and resolve will solve our current economic, and political puzzle. Prayer, resolve, constitution and the resoluteness that the US citizens have held since our founding in 1776.
God is watching over us Mr President, Just do your best. God bless America
Good luck Mr.President on you’re second
term. The only way I can help you is to
be a good citizen and pray for you
Mr President, my prayers were with you and Michelle as you traveled throughout America asking the people for another chance to move this country forward. May God bless you for trying to give everyone a fair share in this American dream.
I’m not at all surprised with the negative comments. January 21st is the day my television will be turned off and I will ignore this shameful event. Voters made the mistake of a lifetime on Nov. 6, 2012. Like someone said, get this miserable event over with and let’s get past this next 48 months and then do the damage assessment.
Congratulations Mr. President on your second term in office. Happy New Year and May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family. Its a pleasure to always see the girls and how they have grown into fine young ladies. The first lady is my role model. She’s Awesome! My family and I are proud Bahamians and just want to say, continue to work hard and put God first, for you are being led by him and with his help, you will surpass what you have accomplished in your first term. Congratulations also to your hardworking team. The entire world is moving “Forward.” My family and I will be tuned in once again to witness history Sir, your swearing in ceremony. Great job and Good luck Mr. President!
Congratulations to President Obama, and to the country for making the right decision! Much good has been done, and now there will be time to finish so much more. But I can’t resist adding this comment: The article mentions that among newer traditions at inaugurations are the words, “…so help me God”, and the kissing of the bible! I’m looking forward to the day we have a leader who has the guts to eschew such ostentatious public displays of religious preference. Oops, now the rest of the comments will be loaded with the outrage of Americans who think they have the right to demand that everyone share their religious beliefs or be branded “un-American”.
I am amazed at this family for the second time around. Fabulous and real, pretty and smart. Our 1st family is a delight to behold and the President is awesome, thank you for all you have done and sacrificed as a professional Public Administrator. I am proud to be a citizen under your leadership Ms. Obama. I love you Mr. Obama and I love the ladies too, they are amazing..love you Michelle, you are representin’ to the MAX.
@Kathy Bell, so it’s only considered “manners” when you agree with the presidents policies and worship the ground he walks on? That’s a good one.
I didn’t vote for the president nor did I vote for the other major party, but I wish him blessings and I pray that he will use some good direction and sense. Our country is heading down some very dark paths and the president hasn’t started those roads, but continued us down them. I only hope that he either leads us towards the light or stops us in our tracks. The likelihood is very slim however, seeing as he has already talked foolishness on some very important issues already. I believe some of his intentions are well meant but he really has no idea what he is doing and he is murdering our image in national security and foreign affairs and the people that voted him, for the majority are just as uniformed and deceived. Good job ‘murica, good job. I hope you like what you get as we continue down this path.
I am so proud that you are a second term president. You deserve it. I wish you and your family all the best. I love my president!
Dear President Obama, my prayers for you are that God continues to bless you and your family on this next four years journey. Therefore, keeping in mind, President Obama, you must not be afraid to lead our country in the right directions, and stand up to the individuals who are still working in the background attempting to undermine your presidency and make sure you fail at the job that most of the American people re-elected you do. In closing, President Obama, sir you know what is the right in your heart, mind, and soul, just make sure that you do the right thing. God Bless!
Wish you well, Mr. President.
I don’t know how you can enjoy your inaguration day as taxes on the middle class go up despite the lie that you told telling us NO MORE TAXES ON MIDDLE CLASS. You stood on change but I don’t see any change in Washington, business as usual. Graft, corruption, lies, empty promises and no leadership in sight. Very sad day for all Americans!!
Congratulations and thank you !
Although you were not my choice, congratulations! May you keep this a God fearing country and let Him guide you as you make many important decisions. May God bless you and your family as you enter another term guiding the most wonderful and blessed Nation in the World!
So will Obama be kissing the Bible and closing with the words “So help me God”. Should be interesting to watch.
Mr. President Obama, May God Bless you and your wonderful family. I pray that we will have four good years with your wise leadership. President Obama you keep God first and I know that everything else will fall right in place. Congratulation and God Bless.
Regardless of what your opinion is of our President, pray for the Lord’s leadership and direction to be bestowed upon him. Someone posted that our forefathers are turning in their graves…my forefathers were slaves.
Mr. President & Mrs. Obama – You have been an inspiration to all us and we donated as much as possible for your re-election. God Bless you and your lovely daughters.
Carroll Leo Heath
President Obama & First Lady Michelle Obama,
We are so proud of both you and the positive impact that you are making in our nation. Your leadership, focus, determination and persistence to making life better is greatly appreciated.
May the next four years be great as God is ordering your steps.
Cheryl (Atlanta City Dweller who was born on the southside of Chicago)
Sasha and Malia, Best wishes from Cardinal Citizenship class Landrum Middle School. We are about your ages and would you write us back please and tell us about your life? thanks
Dear Mr. President:
My prayers and best wishes are with you and your lovely family as you begin your second term. I am excited to hear you speak after you are inaugurated this Monday, January 21, 2013. I think it’s poetic that America is also commemmorating the life and work of the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the same day! I am hoping that all Americans will put aside their fear of change and bias toward the diversity of this great nation and come together to solve our most critical issues.
Like most tax paying Americans I will watch with horror as you continue to destroy this country’s future.
I am so humble and blessed to be alive to see this moment in time for all Americans. I lived through the assassination of Pres. Kennedy, Rev.Dr. Martin Luther King, and Sen. Robert Kennedy. I watched the daily newscast from Huntley-Brinkly Vietnam casualties of thousands of GI dying. I was sprayed with the water hose by police in a riot in Harrisburg, Pa. because of prejudice. But, seeing my Mother cry and our family fight so hard to make a difference was worth it all. My youngest son went to Iraq on a one year mission and I know personally the struggle that a family endures. Please know Mr. President Obama and Mrs. First Lady Michelle Obama I pray without ceasing that you both will continue to lead America with faith, courage and much PRAYER in the face of adversity. Seek the kingdom of GOD first and he will direct your paths!! God Bless and Congratulations from a Women of God!!! We love you both and your beautiful daughters, too. I hope to come to the White House this summer and see the statue of MLK, also. Thank you for this opportunity to express my deepest support for you both.
If I had never seen your face while listening to you speak,
If I had never seen Michelle Obama’s face as she eloquently spoke,
If I had never heard a comment on your race while listening to you speak,
If I had read only your statements, read your advice, read reports about you, heard about your visits to those who have suffered due to hardship, heard your platform and plans for running the country…
If I had never known the color of your skin…
I still would have voted for you.
I would not have regretted it.
And I would know that you have profound intelligence and intuition, confident leadership ability, presidential demeanor, moral integrity, a love for your nation and it’s PEOPLE, cultural understanding – an absolute in these times and in this country.
I would know why I switched parties altogether, even though I have always voted for who I felt was best regardless of party (Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama)
Serving these last few years and offering your service for the next 4, is brave and proves your dedication to your country.
You walked into a mess and have steadily worked through the corruption and mess to start restoring us to a more honest, working economy. Listening to you speak and seeing how you deal with a difficult situations is extraordinary and I find, trustworthy.
From this Irish American, Thank you Mr. President. We are a blessed country.
Very special that the inauguration and MLK day are on the same day. Karma is speaking to us here…..
So proud of this country to have made the right choice again in 2012! President Obama will go down as one of the greatest presidents in history. He will be the one to reverse the days of Banks taking advantage of citizens with new strict regulations, rolling back useless wars in Iran and Afghanisthan, bringing equality to women, exploring green jobs, and finally passing reasonable gun control. I support the 2nd amendment but I am with the Association for Responsible Gun owners in America NOT the NRA. I do not agree with the President on all policies (example Dream Act) but by and large this President has moved us in the right direction. NRA says we need better mental health care, but same people who support the NRA don’t support ObamaCare and making healthcare available and affordable to all – What a contradiction!
Americans have spoken – they chose to believe we are a supportive society, we are all in it together as a country and we help and support one another through good times and bad times, through wars, through crisis, we are a united country with opportunity for all. We did not like the message that everyone is in it for themselves, selfishly claiming they were born in a log cabin they built with their own two hands!
Congratulations to the World, Mr. President! We are so proud of you, and grateful for your guidance, your values, your enormous love, and for your compassion for those who do not understand. We love you and your precious family more than you will ever know.
We also are totally aware of the sacrifice you make everyday……. we surround you and yours with radiant, protective light………..
With all our love, Carol and Bruce Fabric, San Anselmo, California
Dear Mr.President,
I am glad that you are going to have another four years as President. I am convinced that you will be successfull. I admire you for standing up for the rights of the poor and the middle class(Even though that sometimes takes a fight with Republicans!). Always Delight Yourself in the Lord. Then the Lord will give you the desires of your heart.
I am thankful that each day we are closer to getting you out of the White House. I just hope there is a country left when you are done.
Mary Jenkins
I can’t wait til Monday, January 21, 2013. Martin Luther King’s Birthday recognition and our President Obama inaguration day. I will not be at work and my children will not be in school. We will be able to watch a great historical moment as a family. We are proud of you Mr. President. Keep fighting for the people. We need you. God bless you and your family. Congratulations from the Windy City
Congratulations Mr. President!! So proud! Blessings to you and you beautiful family.
All our love, Celia Fiol and Family
Congratulations and thank you for committing to a second term.
Stay strong and remember that we all have you back!
Blessings to you and you beautiful family.
Celia Fiol and Family
A day of mourning for the passing of a free nation into tyranny of government.
I will continue to pray for the President. I do not agree with his policies at all. He has given encouragement to those that have or desire to break our laws and enter our country illegally. I’ve got Bible for that: Jesus says we are to “enter by the Gate. Anyone that comes in another way is a thief and a robber.” He also has been casting a stumbling block in front of others by enticing those of lower estate to covet the property and wealth of the “rich” and suggesting that they have become wealthy only by stealing from others. Isn’t it possible that many of the “rich” are blessed for having worked hard and played by the rules? (Hollywood elites excepted.)
I am distressed that many of my Christian brothers and sisters seem to have voted for him more because he is not “fully white”, -not because he has followed Christian principles. In fact, he has been friendlier to those of the Islamic faith, than to many of those that follow Christ.
Our president is divisive and we must pray for a change in his heart and that our country would be revived and become truly “color-blind” as Dr. King envisioned.
A big congratualtions to Mr. & Mrs. Obama and their beautiful children Sasha and Malia! You are also our family and we are truly Thankful for you! Enjoy this special day that is to take place next Monday 1/21. God Bless you all!
good luck in your second term of office Mr President
Congratulations, President Obama, First Lady and family. I’m looking forward to attending the Presidential Inauguration! I know that the best is yet to come and the only person capable of doing all the things people said you didn’t do or did not do enough of in four years is God. He is the only miracle maker and He runs the show. I just want to tell you that I do know the same God that kept you and your family the last four years plus is the same God that’s going to keep you and your family the next four years plus! Again congratulations Mr. President continue to but God first and let Him guide your heart, head, hand and steps! 2Chronicles vs15, Do not be afraid or discourage of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s! Be blessed
on January 1, was the day to celebrate 150 years since the Emancipation and Proclamation. not the 21st. he is doing this because it is a sunday when the date should be, and everywhere closes early or is not open that day.
I hope in your 2nd term that you will acknowlege that men and fathers are human too.
We need help on our issues as well, you helped women, gays, now it’s our turn.
Automatic parental rights, regardless of marital status is good for starters.
We shouldn’t have to beg in a court of law over what god has given us.
I hope after you (Pres.Obama) leave the white house, that you will never have to deal with the things that some of us had to deal with.
Thank God–THANK GOD (!) that you are our President! I am so grateful that God has allowed you to be reelected! I am an OLD white Southern male and my wife a white Southern female but we could not possibly be prouder of all that you are trying to accomplish. Despite HORRIBLE bickering in Congress and the obstructionist elements, this is a GOOD time to be alive in the United States and see the glacially slow but needed changes taking place in order for us to have a better future. Thank you for all that you have done, and may God bless you in the future.
I believe I read somewhere our beloved president was to use two bibles this time in his Inauguration. The usual one and the one President Lincoln used at his Inauguration. How great is that!
I was just reading Psalms 10 today and it explains why these Republicans are doing what they are doing. There is nothing under the sun that has not already been done. I am giving a small Inauguration party.
Well wishes Mr. President and may God bless you and your family. I love and respect you, the people love and respect you, the world loves and respects you.
We look up for the guidance of God and forward for your leadership and I place a proverbial hand in yours and God’s as we walk with hope towards our future.
CONGRATS, CONGRATS, CONGRATS!!!!! To this nations first African American President and family. I must say that I am really proud to say that I am an American and that I placed a vote to get MY president back in office for a second term. I am so thankful for what the president has done for this country so far and can not wait to see what he has in store for the future. Mr. Barack Obama I GOT YOUR BACK!!!!!!! keep up the good work and as long as we all work together there are no limits to where this country can go….
Congratulations Obama Family! To POTUS – Keep the Faith Always. To FLOTUS Keep the Faith and stand BY your man! Disregard the venom and soak up the love because God IS LOVE! We need a strong Black Man who is leading his family to lead this nation. I will keep you in my heart and prayers always.
I only hope and pray the country can survive another 4 years of your do nothing policies
I completely agree with Anonymous, above! (January 9, 7:41pm)
Our freedoms are being removed – plucking them away one by one. Today’s democratic party is NOTHING as it was in the days of MLK or JFK!
Today’s left is all about ‘entitlements’. I have worked hard since I was 12 years old whether it was babysitting or working chores helping elderly neighbors or farms. Now I’m 46 and still have that same strong work ethic that was taught to me by my parents. And I have news for you..just because YOU don’t ‘want’ to work or help yourself, does NOT make you ‘entitled’ to have the government take MY EARNings and have them handed over to you!
Capitalism is what makes this country great! Hey, here’s an idea for you..WORK HARD AND ACCOMPLISH! The government NEEDS to respect the rights of WE THE PEOPLE. It goes hand in hand with economic development. When people can govern their own country together in freedom, it generates motivation, peace, stability and confidence in the future.
“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
–Thomas Jefferson
"No government can continue good, but under the control of the people."
–Thomas Jefferson to J. Adams, 1819
"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?"
–Thomas Jefferson to W. Smith, 1787
Only in a few countries this is possible– the “changing of the guards” in government, without bloodshed. This isn’t exactly a changing of the guards, as the president who is going be inaugurated is the same as the president of the last term. But this second term was such a hard-fought contentious battle to win that it feels like we’re changing guards. No bloodshed. This gives me a feeling of continued faith in our democratic system, faith in OUR America. As Adam Davidson pointed out in his excellent talk at the Ted Conference– with a few exceptions, American voters aren’t as divided as we think. It’s our representatives in Washington who are, and he explains why. Please watch the talk “Adam Davidson: What we learned from teetering on the fiscal cliff”. An excellent TED talk about bridging the differences between the two parties is “Jonathan Haidt: The moral roots of liberals and conservatives”. God bless America. God bless all countries.
Mazel Tov Mr. President,
Hope you and your family has good health & the best of everything as you go forward with these next four years. May G-d give you the strength to tackle all you have on your plate. Let’s go forward as you promised, not backwards. G-d bless the Obama’s
and the USA.
Well, whether I like it or not your going to be President for another term. I personally think you are a great person and an even better family man, but I think your leadership as President is not good at all. Please don’t try to change America, it is the way it is and should stay that way.
Sad that people feel the need to post sour, snide comments on the occasion of what should be a joyous event for our country. No matter which side you’re on – Obama won fair and square. His policies and positions were accepted; and his opponents were not. Get over it. The time for partisanship ended the moment the first polling booth opened. You can sulk for the next four years on your own or you can join the rest of your country in trying to move forward. Your choice.
Congradulation to my President, President Barack Obama and Family! Oh how I love my President of these United States of America! I am so proud of my First Family!!! To God be the Glory for your continued Leadership! In spite of the negativeness, the criticism and the back biting you pressed on! I love and appreciate all you are doing and pray God continue to strenghten you for the task set before you. You have a beautiful family and don’t be fooled you have a lot of haters for that reason alone. Not to worry, that’s what haters do, they hate!!! ;o) To all you critics out there “I love you and guess what, God loves you more!!!” I will be on my couch watching my 52 inch HD TV acting just like I’m I am there! I am so excited to be able to be a witness for another memorable history making moment! Always praying for you and family. God loves you and so do I!!!!
LADY B
Love you Mr.Obama.We are truly BLESSED to have you as our president!!
CONGRATS! To this nations first African American President and his family. I must say that I am really proud to say that I am an American and that I placed a vote to get MY president back in office for a second term. I am so thankful for what the president has done for this country so far and can not wait to see what he has in store for the future. Mr. Barack Obama I GOT YOUR BACK!!!!!!! keep up the good work and as long as we all work together there are no limits to where this country can go. Please continue to work on comprehensive immigration reforms, health care for citizens and poor.
I have not felt the pride I feel over Barack Obama since JFK was President. It is such a good thing that he was re-elected. He has more compassion for the “little guy” in his left thumb than all the Republicans have in all their collective bodies! He has done a great job in the face of unparalled opposition, and I hope he will figure out ways to do even more. When his second term is completed and he writes his memoirs, I wager we will see that the opposition we know about will only be the tip of the iceberg compared to the whole of it.
God bless the Obamas, and thank God we are privileged to have Barack Obama for a second term!
congratulation mr obama and family may god bless you always
me and my family watched the election process very closely and didnt sleep at all on the election day youre so wonderful and so is michelle; iwish i was in america on that day but unfortunately its not that easy.
i know that god will guide you in your decision making and appreciate to have such a wise president.
lots of love from celine and michel in the seychelles island.
im refering to my comments and i meant that i would appreciate to have that kind of president for my country
may GOD BLESS you
Congratulations on another 4 years. May God bless you and your family.
President Obama, may the great God above bless, guide and protect you in your quest to make life better for the American people.
Congratulations Mr. President and First Family! I’m excited to watch this event again; so many wonderful memories of the last inauguration. Mazel Tov!
No SugarCoat in this Post: 2 Words- Brain Washed. If you voted for OBozo, you’re a Sheep, a Lemming (to you independent thought is over rated). By the time I reach my 60s-70s there won’t be any Social Security Left for me. I work so hard for others to drain it. A Commander in Chief should at LEAST serve 4 years in the military. This should be MANDATED for all presidents. Received my first paycheck this year…4.2% shoots up to 6.2% a nice FICA punch in the stomach! Can’t wait to see what the Fiscal Cliff decisions bring. Please hire Suze Orman to balance this country’s books. ObamaCare is Vile and weak in structure – OPEN your eyes, citizens. Gun Control, Really? These new policies will open flood gates for the criminals and HURT the honest law abiding licensed carrying citizens. Sure..Riiight, Gun Sellers are Accomplices of Crimes right? Yah, and Spoons made the Fat Guy Fatter. One day perhaps a NATIVE AMERICAN can run for office. They were here FIRST. Long ago they ran their tribes like tight ships and coexisted with many beautiful principles intact. The next 4 years and Forever I will continue to do my job, obey the law, nourish my family, pay my taxes (perhaps the illegal immigrants can chip in too?) and love my fellow man regardless of our different views. Last 2 Words: ACORN and Benghazi. (Do some research)
Congratulations to the President and the first family and wishes for success in his second term.
Congratulations Mr. President. I am so proud to have you as our leader. God bless the USA.
Mr. President, You are the Best in my life time of 57 years, We Love You and the Family
I am SO PROUD that our President is a man of education, knowledge, wisdom, sincerity, competence, and COURAGE. Congratulations to all of us for having elected this man for a second term!
Thank God you got four more years youo are the president we have ever had Mr.Obama,My family and I are grateful to you and your beautiful family. You are a awesome president .I wish you could stay in office forever because you have truly made a difference while you are in office, Love you and your family.Thank you.
Why can’t the money this costs go on the national debt. This hupla has gone on once.
I thought this page said to leave a compliment not complaints. I thought everyone was taught that if they didnt have anything good to say then they shouldnt say anything at all.If you dont agree with what President Obama is doing then just sit and wait the 4 years out. ITS NOT HARD PEOPLE.
Congratulations Mr. President on a fairly fought and won election. The people have spoken! Continue to do the right thing and what’s best for all involved!
Congratulations Obama and family! I enjoyed all your presidential debates and appreciate the change and direction that you have set forth for our working families. I wish you the very best on your second term. Keep your head up and stay positive!
Congratulations Mr. President my family and friends is very happy you have a second term keep up the good work. We know you can do it.
Will b glad when It’s Jan 20, 2017.
Congratulations on the win Mr. President, I hope for your success during your second term, Gun Control issues, Same-sex marriage, budget deficits, you have a lot to face and I have faith in you
Congraulations for four more years. My grandmother died 17 1/2 yrs. ago and she would have loved this day and the your first four years. When you were campaigning four years ago, my cousin who lives in Chicago, who is a Minister, told me to be still because God had a hand on your campaigning. God knew it was time for a New Beginning and a New direction for this country. Always remember that GOD KNOWS BEST! Our Heavenly Father once Prefailed. Good Luck. God Bless You and Your Family. Tell your girls I would love to have taught them in school. I retired 3 1/2 yrs. ago.
God Bless You and your family. I pray for you all daily and I know you are working on behalf of me and other Americans who just want a fair shot. I believe in you more now than ever. Blessing and prayers!
Dear Mister President,
congratulations whole-heartedly and confidently on your re-election. It made me very proud to be an Americn. I have served in the military and been to many places. (I have also ready your book ‘Dreams from my Father’ and was doubly impressed). Do, please, disregard the vile, vituperous negative writers and their equally poisonous statements. Many of them seem very young and their brains have not matured as of yet. For the older ones, their’s seem to have atrophied along with their hero’s when he passed. America is a great country and your fortitude and compassion will continually encourage its citizens to make it better. God bless you as you enter into your second term. God bless your family. God bles America.
Sad day for America. The final 4 years of Obama destroying the country begins.
Mr. President, You probably won’t read this. I didn’t vote for you, but I will stand behind you now that you are in office again because I believe that is the right thing to do. Please work to get our country out of debt rather than increasing our deficit like you did the last 4 years. Nobody will benefit if we end up like Greece- not us and not those that have less than us. I love our country, but its not invincible. Please don’t keep redistributing the pie like what we have now is all that is available. Promote making more pies! That is what made this country great, although most people seem to have forgotten.
You do know Obama got re-elected right? Seems like you’re referring to someone else in your comments.
God help us, the country will never be the same.
I want to go!
God has spoken so let the people say Amen.
To President and Mrs. Obama, Congratulation again, will have the privilege of watching it on tv, I’m off from work on Monday..will enjoy as I did four years ago…I know it hasn’t been easy for you, but I know in my heart you’ve both done the best for this country..and will keep on doing it…God Bless and give you both peace and happiness, for both of you and your lovely daughters….wishing you many Blessings for the next four years to come….
Barack and Michele see you on Monday
congratulations to President and his family also Vice President an family. So happy for u an wish u gods blessings to continue serving this great nation. Im so proud to vote for the first time being a citizen of United States of America. God Bless
Congratulations Mr.President. My good wishes and my support will be with you as you continue with the job you started — healthcare for all, gun sanity, civil rights for gays and women, bringing our troops home. May God be with you.
President Obama, First Lady Mrs. Michelle Obama.
I LOVE you President Obama. I wish that you could run for president next term.
We would all vote for you a third term. AND! you would definitely win.
You are a powerful, strong, very intelligent, caring, loving Man. And always remember,
the world (people) LOVE you, (even the republicans….they are just too proud to admit it).
Always continue to be the Strong Man that you are.
WE LOVE YOU.
Ava
May the Almighty be with you and your family during these next four years. Mr. President, many will be praying for your success navigating the important issues that face us. Please be true, honest, righteous, merciful and patient, and above all, trust…
you know, im in 7th grade and im going to see the inauguration IN PERSON!! Im so excited and i leave tomorrow night al 11:55 p.m.!!!!!!!!!
WISH ME LUCK!
Congrats Mr. President and to the first family, I am very happy for you so you can finish your job you started, good luck to you and to America in the next 4 yrs. we know yo can make America a better place. And please stop all the wars.
Congratulations, Mr. President, and thank you for your continued service to our country. God bless you and your lovely family!
I did not attend, nor watch on TV the inauguration of 2009, and I will not again this 2013. 4 bad years past and 4 more bad years to come. I am praying for a less liberal Democrat and a more conservative Republican president for the 2016 elections to correct the next 4 years of another mistake.
Congratulations to president Obama.Don’t let the haters stop you from doing the great job you’ve been doing.God bless you,Michelle ,and your beautiful girls.
Yay! He has accomplished so much in the past four years! Gun CONTROL is going to be put into effect. Executive orders are awesome, forget the system of “checks and balances”
He did all this while maintaining a rising national debt, leaving four brave souls for dead in Benghazi, making public and special ops team that should have never been made public, weakened our military(who for the most part dislike the man)
But, the sheeple have spoken…
A courageous leader, a rock-solid husband and a loving father.
Mr. President, you’ve shown you have the intellect, integrity, calm demeanor and sense of fairness to govern this vast, diverse country.
We the people don’t make it easy for you — we listen to pundits screeching from their high horses and gathering their own millions of dollars while they incite the uneducated against some unseen “tyranny.”
Please continue pushing for the health and education of our citizens — if we don’t have those two things, our nation will lose its strength.
Blessings on you and your family.
And THANK YOU.
@Emily Watson — Illegals pay the same taxes you do. Sales taxes, payroll … If they’re illegally using a social security number, they’re also paying into a system they can never use. Read up on it!
PLEASE, Mr. President, keep working to ensure our country’s education and health are strong.
Thank you for serving with such grace, integrity, intellect and passion. You’re a great example of what a president, husband and father should be.
I am thrilled that my daughter will have the opportunity to see you sworn in for your final term in person. You have shown yourself to be a man of outstanding character over these last 4 years and I am proud to have been able to vote for you twice. Congratulations and may God bless you.
Congratulations on four more years Mr. President. I believe you will continue to lead us in the way God will have you to. God Bless you and the girls.
Four more years of history’s greatest monster.
God bless you Mr. President in your second term. I feel we are going to greatly benefit from your reign as our President. We look forward to all you have planned for us and pray that working together, we will all be blessed.
Dear Mr. President,
I worked as a volunteer in battleground states in both your campaigns in the last weekend and days leading to Election Day. We barely lost Missouri but prevailed
in Ohio (Toledo)…I also contributed a good amount of cash (for me) both times. I can honestly say that I have never been more invested in a Presidency than yours. It’s a testament to your character that I see when you stand up for the middle class, the working poor, the disadvantaged, minorities and women in our great country. You also inspire me with your forward looking policies on climate change and fairer distribution of the tax burden to get our country’s financial house in order and out of deficits and debt.
Please do the right thing and get us out of Afghanistan and don’t start any preventable wars as in Iran, but help those that only our American leadership can
like those in wars in Africa, Syria and worldwide that are being oppressed or slaughtered. Your bully pulpit also carries a lot of weight. Thank you also for pledging to do your utmost on gun control and immigration policy reform. I will always support you but please don’t ever forget the folks who put you in office and their values. God Bless you and protect your family.
Mr. President. You are a failure, a crook, and a liar. The United States of America used to be a country of proud citizens, and a country envied by people across the globe. Now!!! Our country is a joke. Keep your gun laws. I’ll be waiting for you to try and confiscate mine. Fast and Furious?!?!?!? You will knowingly allow 2000+ assault rifles to reach the hands of cartel members. Yet you don’t trust LAW ABIDING citizens, in your OWN country. I pray for your impeachment. And no…..im not saying Romney was a better option. Wake up AmeriKa. This type of tyrannical government is the very reason our Constitution was written. Our country is ran by big bankers and crooks. Stop following the leader……he’s not on OUR team.
President Obama, I would like to send many blessings to you and your beautiful family. I am a proud American in that I have been able to live and see you run our country. May God grant you his wisdom, peace, leadership and authority to continue to oversee this great county for the next 4 years. Remember no matter what, God himself ordained for you to be our leader to lead us for this time. Just remember to seek his wisdom and direction in all that you do.
God Bless you and your family!
CONGRATULATIONS MR. PRESIDENT AND FAMILY, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS AND ALSO THE ONES IN THE WHITE HOUSE…..MY PRAYERS ARE WITH EVERYONE THERE….THANK YOU,
Great job! Congratulations on four more years……………God bless you and the girls.
Its so sad that if it was any one else,But OBAMA,,MANY WOULD HAVE LESS TO SAY..hOWEVER, since he is and shall be the next PRESIDENT for the SECOND time there’s nothing noone can do about it. If you have a problem, how about yall take all the comments to the LORD, SINCE YALL ARE SO MAD..
LET GO AND LET GOD:)
its done………..
May GOD bless you and your family on this beautiful occasion. You are doing the JOB that GOD puts in your heart to do: FULFILLING your purpose while SERVING the people. You are doing an EXCELLENT JOB. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, Mr. PRESIDENT. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO GIVE GOD THE FIRST PLACE IN YOUR LIFE IN EVERYTHING YOU PLAN TO DO. I will keep you and your LOVED ONES in my PRAYERS. Thank you
congrats on this day i know that you will do your best as you have been doing in your power to help us ……………………..god bless you n the girls
Your swearing in will be a great day for all Americans. You will be working for all of us. This includes conservatives, independent, black, white and everyone in our great country. I worked for you by calling people and donating as much money as I could. It makes me feel so good that I helped you get re-elected. May the Grace of God be with you and your beautiful family for the next four years.
Good luck Mr. President. May The Lord bless you and your beautiful family and guide you throughout your second term.
“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
~Isaiah 41:10 ~
We have your back Obama, lets make this the best country we know it should be!!!Aloha….
Congratulations to you, Mr. President, and to Mrs. Obama and your beautiful family. I wish you all the best and pray for strength and courage as you continue to lead our country. God bless you!
I voted for Obama the first time because of what he said. Being transparency to Washington. A more divided America, Fast and Furious hiding it with executive action, Benghazi side stepping it with it is under investigation. Well he is a good Con Artist and he got elected. But as it goes History will Condemn him as reprehenible. You all can spin this all you want. Work will set you free is his believe.
America please join me in a day of sadness and do not watch the Inauguration, its sad that this is the beat America has to offer and we have to watch this waste of time, money and leadership, it is sad to see that for what we have settled for in the leadership, God Bless America, and he must be considering what we have to lead us
Four more years of this horrible president and the country will be ruined.
Congrats to Mr and Mrs. Obama for being a great first family for a second term. Also Mr. and Mrs. Biden they have been incredible too. Thank You all for staying strong. I will always have faith in you. God Bless.
Congratulations! Mr. President may god bless you and your wonderful family . I am very glad to form part of a country run by a wonderful president like yourself. I wish you the best on this term.
Congratulations President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Malia and Sasha! You are a wonderful family and a credit to the country. I am extremely glad and proud to have worked hard to elect and reëlect President Obama––who I think will be acknowledged to be one of the greats of the modern age. I look forward to the next four years, ––as does the entire Jorgensen family!
God bless you Mr. President! God bless the First Lady and your daughters. I pray for you and thank God for giving us a President who has a good heart and cares for people and the well-being of all Americans.
Congratulations to President Obama! Congratulations to America for again electing such a fine leader. You are the very image of hope to me. I trust you. I believe you make the right choices for the country for the right reasons. I expect the next four years will not be any easier than the last four years.
So, remember us, the quiet ones, the middle of the road Americans, on the dark and bright days ahead because we support you. We elected you because we know you can do the job. You may not see us or know us, but we are there ~ take strength from us and know that we are behind you, supporting you, even in our silence.
As a northern white woman who happened to take a bus trip down south in 1955, I was horrified to see the state of what we used to call “colored people” in the south. It was absolutely mind boggling to me, as there was nothing like it going on in the north that I was aware of. So I say today, to Rosa Parks, to Martin Luther King, to all the brave souls who risked their lives to bring equality to a large portion of the American population, Freedom at Last, Equality at Last, and a black president to top it all off, twice! It feels very good to be able to write these words.
I don’t think this great country of ours will survive another 4 years of Dictatorship and Executive orders. Headlines should have read after reelection “49 percent of the voters DISapprove another term”. God help us all….
I don’t think the POTUS wants to go up against the NFL playoff times. So the ‘coronation’ will be held on Monday.
[A coronation is a ceremony marking the formal investiture of a monarch and/or their consort with regal power, usually involving the placement of a crown upon their head and the presentation of other items of regalia. This rite may also include the taking of a special vow, acts of homage by the new ruler\'s subjects, and/or the performance of other ritual deeds of special significance to a given nation]
I understand that there’s a movement afoot to replace the Bible with a ‘crown and scepter’ ?
Congratulation to the President and his family. This great responsability doesn’t have color. Is a huge job that I respect no matter who carry the bag on his shoulders. This job is just for brave, no for people that open their mouths just to critize and judge. God bless you, Mr. President.
These folks that have nothing but praise and gratitude for an outstanding job done on the first term make me want to puke. What planet are ya’ll from? For anyone that thinks obama has done anything positive just flabbergasts me to the utmost.
Congratulation Obama’s Family. Your are the bravest people that I never want to step on your shoes. Your took care of the nation during the worse period of time when everybody see just the negativism. If we ask: Who want to lead the nation? The only ones that can rising their hands who are those that know that never been choose. God bless President Obama and his family. This huge job really doesn’t have color, is clear like the water.
Mr President, You are what this country needed. Keep up the great leadership and God Bless you and your family. Great men are hard to find.
What a waste of time and taxpayer money to have all this “pomp and circumstance” for a second term president! Especially one who didn’t accomplish anything at all during his first term. All he has and is doing so far, is to further divide the people of our country. I’ve never seen a country so divided in my entire life until he came into office. I do believe the election is fixed, as I know more people who did not want him in than people who wanted him in again!! I wonder how much longer we are going to be a “free” nation?? He is slowly but surely trying to take our rights, liberty and money away from us!!
Mr President, You are what this country needed. Keep up the great leadership and God Bless you and your family.
Lets just get this over with, I am sick of hearing all the hype about Monday. Also puts a damper on our 3 day weekend since we live so close to DC, traffic is goin to be horrible. Thank God this is the last 4 years we have to endure this man! Praying for this country.
Boo!!!!
Worse president ever!!!
Mister President, we are continue to ask the Lord to shower down blessing on you and your family. Your enemies are nothing in the sight of our God. Critics will come and go, But, their voices will mean nothing in the end. Thanks for tackling problems in this country without fear or intimidation. The glory belongs to our God who is faithful to his word. Those who say we will take our country back do not realize that it belongs to the Lord and we are his creation and stewards. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein”.
Now we all know everything is possible let’s get – er- done ! high five for the secret service !!!!
Mr. Obama, please help us save our country “RESIGN”, your policies past and present
are going to bankrupt our country. Oh, by the way take Biden Reid & Schumer with
you.
Sure u dont wanna change your mind and let someone run the country who his not trying to socialize us….our country was founded to not side…let government run us like you are…i would say good luck but im on te impeachment
President Obama, please try not to ruin the country. I know it goes against your grain, and you are unlikely to be able to resist the temptation. But even if you don’t give a damn about the rest of us, think of the place where your children and their children will grow up. They won’t always be able to live in the palace. Sooner or later someone will have to earn a decent living in a free country, and you’re making that impossible.
President Obama and Family:
God has commanded us in His Word to pray for those who are in authority over us (First Timothy 2:1-5). Please know that my family and I, as well as many others who have a relationship with God, across this nation, are praying Godly wisdom, discernment, courage, and boldness for you daily. We pray angel protection for you and your family. We also pray that no weapon formed against you will prosper. Our prayer is that you and family know God as your personal Lord and Savior and live for Him daily because at the end of the day, that is what will make the difference for all of us and where we spend eternity. God bless and keep you during this second term and always.
I will be watching Monday and smiling that we get four more years Mr. President.
Thank you for leading our country and I wish you and your lovely family all the best! I am proud to call you my President!
What a blessing and honor for President Obama to be inaugurated on MLKJr. Day!!! He would be so proud!!!! I am so thankful to live in a time when we no longer judge people by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. And finally our brothers and sisters of LGBT communities are getting their “free at last” moments too!
Dear Mr. President,
You have my full support, now and always. I truely believe you are here to lead our country in a more positive and prosperous direction. I pray you find the strength and support you need across all parties to accomplish what is right and necessary for our great nation to continue to be the greatest in the world. God bless you and your beautiful family, God speed in your final (tear =’( ) term in office, and God bless our beautiful country! Land of the free, Home of the brave!!! =)
Congratulations to the Obama family and to The Biden family. May God continue to walk with you.
I wish I could be there, but I will watch you from home.
I believe this is God’s man for this time; to God be the Glory! Congratulations Mr. President to you and your family!! When God is in some don’t allow your mouth to get you into trouble by speaking negative about it… Heed the warning.
Since election day in 2008, a life sized poster of President Obama has adorned the wall of my computer room. I think I shall never take it down. I’m so proud of him and his family. It’s so wonderful to be an American. He will continue to do the great things he has started, and I wish him the very best success.
This was the most parasitic President we have ever had…
He lives the super high life, unlike any king in the history of the world ever had, including the entire Royal Family of the UK. Check out this link:
http://thetruthwins.com/archives/us-taxpayers-spent-1-4-billion-on-the-obamas-in-2012-british-taxpayers-only-spent-57-8-million-on-the-entire-royal-family
May him and his family become part of the working poor so that he will see how it feels. This way he will not preach to the people he promises to help, but in return stabs their backs. He was the most selfish, arrogant, uncaring, G-d hating, America hating, not-the-President we ever had!
This monster doesn’t support the constitution, and does not deserve to serve this Inauguration speech while pretending to be proud to protect the constitution all the while opposing and destroying it. I thought this speech was to celebrate how intact our founding values are still today? I believe this is the very last president that should be allowed to serve this speech.
Thank you for being brave enough to want to take on the gigantic responsibility of being POTUS. We are in full support of your leadership. The job that you have done for the past four years beats out what any other President has ever done. I am so very proud to be an American, finally! May God continue to bless you and your family. You have our full support in Princeton,NJ.
Over half a million people are expected to attend, only 5 will miss work!!
Thank God that President Obama and Joe Biden won the election. That means all of America wins. God bless President Obama.
The inauguration I’m looking forward to is the inauguration of 2017, when this lying, thieving, foreign impostor will finally be deposed, hopefully back to Kenya where he belongs. A living, breathing testimonial to term limits if ever there was one.
First and foremost Congratulations to our president and his family. As for me as a citizen of the United States… Not because I’m half black… That I’m so proud of this man who we have elected for the second time… I’m more proud of President Barack Obama Because he’s a man who stands on his own beliefs… you can say what you may… this man was elected for the second time… and it was more than just black and Hispanic votes that put him there… when it was all said and done… the country decided… he was best man to run it… that’s the bottom line
It is painful to reach a beautiful pinnacle only to have so much hate and ignorance taint it. President Obama is a superb human being. Our treatment of the man is deplorable.
If this country is to arrest decline, we must stop the hatred and bigotry.
Presidents Eisenhower and Reagan each gave an address on Monday, January 21. Please leave the hate out of this. Nothing but whining and crying and HATE because your choice lost in a democratic election. What happened to respecting the office?
My sincere congratulations! I am glad to have been a part of the campaign here in Nevada! I also had the honor of seeing President Obama speak and First Lady Michelle Obama! I spoke to Mrs. Obama briefly after her rally and was overwhelmed with gratitude and respect for what she and President Obama have done for America. Keep up the good work! I’ve got your back!
To all the naysayers, congrats to my gangsta who took down the baddest dude in the mideast! And you call him an arab lover? We are to love all. Is that christian? I appreciate Obamacare , cause that’s the only way I’m going to ever see a doctor. I appreciate taxing the very wealthy republicans who are the only ones complaining about more taxes and trying to con us into believing we belong in their tax bracket. We don’t! Pay your 30% wealthy republicans and your wealthy lobbyists and maybe we could use that LITTLE to balance the budget and pay off our debts I bet we could!
Mr. President, there are so many things where I agree with you. there are so many things where I must question you. I wish that I could go over all of these with you, item by item. Yet with all of this being said, congratulations President Obama ,on a second term.
Mr President,
In life, there are certain things that do not repeat themselves so often. Your election as President was designed from above. That, you have a second term is also designed from above. These may not repeat themselves for a long time. It is intended to enable you correct any mistake you inadvertently committed as a human being. As you take your oath of office, your decision to use Bibles used by Lincoln and MLK indicate spiritual concerns for what many eyes cannot see. God is with you. Congratulations, my brother.
Thank you Mister President for all you do. I’m proud to have you as my president and I’m convinced that our county will move forward in a positive way. The best is yet to come. I will continue to pray for you, your beautiful family and our country. Congratulations on your second term as President!
Congratulations to you and your beautiful family for all that you have done for us and this beautiful Country these past 4 years – that thru the Grace of God and with the hands of God you were choosen & we were picked up from falling into the unknown. ‘How soon do we forget’ God has spoken again and I say AMEN to that.
Congratulations President Barack H Obama. Selamat menjalankan tugas Semoga sukses selalu. God bless you Mr.President and your family. Aloha
Twenty years ago I attended the first Inauguration of President Clinton, but I could not make it this year. Congratulations President Barack Obama and your happy family Michelle, Shasha, and Malia. God bless you. Aloha
Mr. President- Congratulations on your reelection and best of luck over the next four years. As you know better than me, nothing you do will satisfy those who want nothing but your failure. Even if that means our failure. So be true to yourself and give it 100%. As a white liberal from the suburbs I was hoping you would be the extreme radical that the right warned us about. You weren’t and are not but that’s my problem not yours. God bless you and your family.
Dear Mr. President,
previous comments came from US people. As a foreigner, I’d like to let everybody know the whole world has benefited from your ideas, decisions & actions: we haven’t had any new wars so far, even though North Korea & Iran have tried hard, a huge lot of stamina & steadfastness was needed, not to mention what the Arab Spring brought along. The whole world needed a thoughtful president, not the previous trigger-happy one. So, thanx so much, Mr. Obama for your far-fetching visions. Hopefully you’ll keep up with the good job, together with that great eye-opener called Michelle.
I am very sorry that we still live in a Country that is full of so much hatred. God help your people. It really didn’t matter to me who won as long as they lived up to the standard of what they ran for in the first place using tax payers money. It doesn’t matter what a persons skin color is regardless of any situation. Sad day in America my heart aches and grieves for the mind of the people. There is nothing we can do about it, so live life and stop being so bitter, appreciating life in itself. Enjoy your family and friends while you have time and know that any day on this side of the dirt is a good day. People waste to much time and spend to much energy being negative. Laugh a little more you just might feel better!
It would have been nice if this article said WHAT TIME THE THING IS!
CONGRATULATIONS to my beautiful country for choosing President Obama to see us through these difficult times and bringing us once again on a path towards prosperity and international respect. Hurray! And thank you, Mr Obama and the first family, for working so hard on our behalf. God bless you and give you strength!
May God guide you through the rough and good times. You did it brother!
Congratulations Mr. President! Your re-election had made me feel right w/ the world. I could not bare the thought of any other alternative. Thank you for leading our country with an eye toward equality, human rights and honorably representing the people of America.
Congratulations president obama and family and godspeed. For those with negative comments despite freedom of speech if you are speaking of a better america why wouldn’t it be one of unification and peace. One where when the american president is being recognized despite your indifference with him you sit down and you are quiet because that is what great leaders and citizens do and when it is time for to change it for what you think is better then stand up and roar. Now is not the time…I mean gosh..be a repectful american or risk the chance of being called a racist…ijs. because I am a proud american whoever is in office….
Good luck and best wishes for this historic day. My vote was with you and I am glad you’re not moving out this weekend. I believe your leadership is sound and we, as a nation should do our part to improve the world and face our challenges. I will be volunteering on MLK, Jr. Day in an effort to help. My prayer today is that we can all get our house in order in 2013.
Obama has never done anything for anyone except for people on welfare and people who dont wanna work and have everything handed to them..and really the only reason he won was dumb racist people only voting for him because he is black..dont think thats true?..then tell me why 93 percent of black people in this country voted for him..we are all screwed..i cant wait for the next 4 years to pass so he can get out of the white house and get someone in there that can do something good for this great country
It is a blesding That the president is sworn in On MLK BDAY,I LOVE YOU MR.PRESIDENT
One Day at a time Sweet jesus,we will be ok
is that going to be on tv? I need to know so I can find something else to watch.
Congradulations President and Mrs Obama, way to go! GOD bless you and your family. Job well done. You shall go on in history. Wish i were there to see you get sworn in!! Again CONGRADULATION!!
Congratulations, President Obama and family, also Vice President Biden and family. All of you have made us very proud, thank you. This is a country of the people, for the people, and by the people and we have spoken. Aloha, Malama Pono.
Simply marvelous!
Let’s pray for our President, that the Lord will give him the mind of Christ as he leads our country, amen.
Mr. President and your beautiful Family,
Thanks for four more years. You think about the middle class and for this I am grateful.
I pray that God will keep you safe as you tackle four more wonderful years. You have been a great president and the complainers can’t deal with you being such an intelligent black man. Stay self assured and you will be blessed
President and Mrs. Obama:
Thank you for sharing your talents, your vision, wisdom and your strengths with our country. Though we are divided, you are not. You are united in your desire to bring health, economic stability, emotional wellness, and fairness to all Americans. Thank you for your boundless sense of hope, energy, and your belief in the power and faith of love and determination. Know that for every naysayer and critic you have, there are countless numbers from my father’s great generation (90s and older), my generation (50s and older) to my sons and nephews/nieces (40s and younger) who are in your corner, praying every day for you and thanking God every day that you’re there for us, fighting for fairness, fighting for the common man.
Mr. President I watched your first inauguration in a classroom full of second graders with tears in my eyes and a hopeful spirit. Tomorrow as we remember Martin Luther King Jr’s words and journey, I will once again be reminded of how lucky we are (and have been) to have such strong and courageous men to lead us. Sadly we do not have school tomorrow and (hopefully) my second graders will still be watching the swearing in-I know I will be. Peace to you and your family and thanks in advance for another four years of strong, loving leadership.
This President must indeed believe he is God. During his first term, he attempted to convince us by doing away writh the National Day of Prayer. Now, he has his swearing in ceremony on a day considered by Christians as a day of praising God. I guess we now know where our country is headed, .if there was ever any doubt.
God help us all…
Dear President Obama, I wish you the best of luck during your second and final term in office. I honestly feel, for the first time in my life, that my President has my best interests, and the best interests of my countrymen in mind. For far too long, I have watched and listened as previous presidents and elected members of the senate and congress, have put the interests of a certain nation ahead of the United States. I read and understood your 11/21 memo, and it was very elating to see that you are aware of those who have infiltrated our government, military, and intelligence agencies, who mean to do us harm. I support you in “taking out the garbage” one hundred percent. If I can be of service to you in this endeavor, please feel free to contact me.
Mr. President, I beseech you to continue to support the United States, and to help begin to heal the wounds of ignorance and stupidity that We The People have suffered at the hands of the infiltrators.
May the Lord bless you and your family, and keep you all safe. May your struggle against this infestation go down in history as the greatest victory in this millennium.
God bless you, Sir. And thank you.
This lowlife hasmbankrupted the country. I wish I could call him an idiot…he is NOT. He is evil…..
He has not been a good leader. Obama is a tyrant!
Congratulations to the best president the United State.
You have earned it with your intelligence, calm temperament and love for this country and Its people. Ignore the noise of the ill informed and ignorant.
Congrats Mr President!! – I just want to say that this page was created as a positive resource regarding the date/time and historical value of the INAUGURATION. The negative feedback about your opinions on the ELECTION (see how the 2 words are different?) are irrelevant at this point…you voted, he won, get over it….Respect the outcome and give as much support as you can while he’s in office cause your personal thoughts won’t change the reality or the effect it will have the next 4 years in your life. God Bless America and a special prayer to those whose life and thoughts are not Godly. Happy MLK Day!!!
Read the Constitution of your United States, people. The official swearing in is January 20th, and actually has requirements regarding it falling on a Sunday. It has no bearing on disrespect of any religious beliefs in the United States, and in fact has happened 7 times in this country.
That having been said, I am so proud of our country, for its democratic process at its best. In addition to President Obama taking on the most challenging role of cleaning up after Mr. George W. Bush (no easy task). He has brought intelligence back to this country (if only by stringing a sentence together without making up his own words) and a true admiration of the U.S. Constitution. He is a true representation of the concept behind this country. And, Mrs. Obama is my most favorite First Lady because of efforts to look after our next generation; to not let them be forgotten as they are our future. Who better than she to bring back the Victory Garden at the White House or encourage kids to get outside and exercise. (Oh, by the way, having that garden saves federal expense.) And her positive work with the military does not get enough attention. She is strong and independent, like many First Ladies, and yet how many women do you know who are strong enough to walk the ENTIRE inaugural parade route in heels??
I wish both President and Mrs. Obama the absolute best. I am certain you can pull us out of our hole, if only we would let you try (and yes I am talking about the House not just those not willing to acknowledge the democratic process).
CONGRATULATIONS, I AM SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!! I pray that God will continue to bless you and your family. Remember to put God first in every decision you make. He is the one who is responsible for your success, and he is the one who will help you accomplish your goal for the American people. Thank you for all your are doing for us, and the world at large.
God Bless You.
CONGRATULATIONS, I AM SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!! Thank you for all your are doing for us, and the world at large.
God Bless You.
I would like to say to our President and Commander and chief thank you and your family for the wonderful job you’re doing and all the sacrifices made on our behalf …Thank you
Maybe he should forgo the ceremony in order to save a little money.
Are we allowed to write negative things?
Cuz I have a LOT to say.
Congratulations, Mr. President. I am honored to bear witness to the launch of your second term. I have every confidence that you will lead this country forward to a more prosperous and democratic place. Do not lose faith in the American people. We are a people capable of great acts of compassion and exceptionalism. We are not a country bound by hatred or small-minded thinking. Let us make history together.
CONGRATULATIONS, Hon. Mr. President and the your team!
We are so proud of your accomplishments! I pray that God will continue to bless you and lead you, your family and your team for the next 4 years
God bless America
God bless you and your family. May God continue to give you wisdom, health and strength throughout your next term.
To our Nations President and the entire cabinet, I pray for unity and total reform for the good of all people. President Obama may the Lord bless you and the entire cabinet. We as Americans and future Americans to come, depend on your leadership and support. Congratulations and thank you.
150 million? Really? In this economy?
A true leader of character would be willing to step out of the spot light long enough to do what’s best for the country. This was fiscally irresponsible and shameful.
THERE ARE SOOO MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE DEFINITELY “NOT” LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OF DEBT, DECREASED JOBS, INCREASED SPENDING……SO MANY THINGS THAT ARE A DISGRACE TO OUR CONSTITUTION!! NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO EVEN A DAY WITH THIS SECOND TERM PRESIDENT, WHO DID SO MUCH DAMAGE IN HIS FIRST TERM? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, CAN THEY NO LONGER SEE THE “TRUTH” OF WHAT A PRESIDENT IS DOING???
I TRULY HOPE THE NEXT FOUR YEARS PASS VERY QUICKLY, SO HOPEFULLY WE CAN HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR THIS COUNTRY AND IT’S PEOPLE!!….ALSO, ONE WHO DOESN’T WANT TO BE ON SO MANY TALK SHOWS…HE MUST LOVE TO SEE HIMSELF ON TV….PRESIDENTS SHOULD NOT BE
“DAYTIME TV TALK SHOW–STARS”….THIS ONE LOVES IT!!!
WE NEED A REAL MAN/WOMAN, A REAL CHRISTIAN, A REAL PRESIDENT WHO HAS THE HEART FOR THE COUNTRY HE “SERVES”……..SOMEONE TO BETTER THIS UNITED STATES, NOT TEAR IT APART AND EMBARRASS IT, IN OTHER COUNTRIES AS THIS MAN HAS DONE! WAKE UP, PEOPLE, PLEASE….WE NEED REAL “LEADERSHIP!!!”
HE IS GOING TO BE A LEGEND IN AMERICA HELP US REALIZE THAT WE AMERICANS ARE SPECIAL IN OUR OWN WAY OBAMA OBAMA USA USA USA USA
I never feared the govenment until Bush and Obama started tearing apart the Constitution. I fear for the future of this country. I pray for the bleek futre of America.
Congratulations to President Obama. Four more years! All the best.
well there are so more people are definitely are looking foward for next year
